Judge “Gently”
I once met this amazing fellow who likes to say, “People don’t CARE about how much you KNOW, they only want to KNOW how much you CARE.” Such an aptly fitting mantra of this man’s lifestyle and work. Joe’s business is Kingdom business. He works for Jesus “providing food, shelter, and HOPE to ALL those in NEED”, just as his business cards read. Was a great honor to meet this kind brother and I’m looking forward to giving him my support.
Hope you enjoy this poem he passed on to me…
Judge “Gently”
Please don’t find fault with the one who trips,
or stubles along the road.
Unless you have worn the shoes they wear
or struggle beneath their load.
There may be tacks in their shoes that hurt,
though hidden from your view,
Or the burden they bear, placed on YOUR back,
might cause YOU to stumble too.
Don’t sneer at the one who’s down today,
unless you have felt the blow,
that caused their fall, or felt the shame,
that only the fallen know.
You may be strong, but still, the blows that where theirs,
if dealt to YOU, in the very same way,
at the very same time, might cause YOU to stagger TOO– Joe DeMicco
