Our DNA and The Science of ‘Life After Death’

I believe there is something in our design, our DNA, which allows us to live after we die in the same way a seed from a plant lies dormant and appears dead, yet it is still alive and even programmed to return new life to the earth in it’s season.

Although we don’t fully understand the science of such things yet,
I believe we will just as it is possible to understand how a seed works.

I pray we all reach for the understandings of such things, staying mindful of how precious life is, and that by each our own unique ways we’ll sow only good things into the earth and give our best as a way of gratitude for our lives.

Tomorrow’s Just An Excuse Away…

27 turns to 33 in 2190 days worth of excuses and you’ll make it home
where all will last forever, but only in your heart that she’ll break and you’ll break.

Along your journey you’ll learn that the mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death and continue making the effort to forgive and love with the help of the I of the Radio… The end will be the beginning where you’ll be able to show your crooked teeth as perfect pearls in a cheshire grin despite the ignorance and cares of this present world. No more cage, no more rage… You’ll make it… Home.
Love does last forever ~

Speak to me in a language I can hear
Humour me before I have to go
Deep in thought I forgive everyone
As the cluttered streets greet me once again
I know I can’t be late, supper’s waiting on the table
Tomorrow’s just an excuse away
So I pull my collar up and face the cold, on my own
The earth laughs beneath my heavy feet
At the blasphemy in my old jangly walk
Steeple guide me to my heart and home
The sun is out and up and down again
I know I’ll make it, love can last forever
Graceful swans of never topple to the earth
And you can make it last, forever you
You can make it last, forever you
And for a moment I lose myself
Wrapped up in the pleasures of the world
I’ve journeyed here and there and back again
But in the same old haunts I still find my friends
Mysteries not ready to reveal
Sympathies I’m ready to return
I’ll make the effort, love can last forever
Graceful swans of never topple to the earth
Tomorrow’s just an excuse
And you can make it last, forever you
You can make it last, forever you

Brent Reacher

You can’t get around being where you don’t want to be, when it’s the only way to get to where you do.” – Brent Christian

Another Saturday night… working to keep my promises and solve some ridiculous problems while keeping my boots clean in a hen house…

This Jack Reacher movie scene comes to mind as I try to humor myself and find some appreciation for where I’m at right now. (*sigh*…no, you dolts, I don’t particularly mean being or not being in a bar… and, no, I haven’t landed in jail for the night either.)  And if you can’t draw any conclusions from this, well you’re dense, and I’d definately not be trusting you to know the full extent of what I mean by any means, let alone over a blog post.  Suffice it to say situations often find their way to my door only because I’m just trying to do what’s right in a world of corruption.

In looking for this scene clip, I discovered there will be a sequel to this movie… so that’s pretty cool… I contemplate -maybe- going out to watch it when it hits the big screen, but being able to count on my fingers the number of films I’ve actually gone to the theater for with about half of them being because of a date, and with the likeliness of still being worlds away from any potential romantic interest around that time, and certianly most likely to still be just as engrossed as ever in living out some of my own real life drama so as to not be able to afford the leisure of watching a fictional one, all make for quite a very very low probability that I will get to see it when it 1st comes out.   But I commit the October 21 release date to memory with much more thought than my usual habit for memorizing seemingly arbitrary stuff just for the sake of knowing that I can, in case a truly special miracle does come through ~

…Wow, all that only to discover from an inside source that the release date is now rescheduled for January 13th of 2017, in which case, I’ll likely be going just to celebrate that I can since 2017 will be the start of a new era of amazing success and freedom for me.   So if you want to go with, let me know and you’ll also be included in the RSVP for NeevusParty 2017  😀

No trailer for the sequel has been released yet, but here’s a trailer look at the first Jack Reacher movie:

And if you happen to be into film making or martial arts, then you’ll love this behind the scenes ‘making of’:

Anways… can anyone out there relate…

To the movie, the character, or anything about this post?
Anyone a fan of the Jack Reacher book series or enjoyed the movie?

Red Is A Color, So Trip Like I Do

Brent in Red
I’m a trippin trip.

I trip out on everything.
Like the color red.
Why is red, red? What makes red, red?
Why does it make you feel the way it does.
How does anything make any difference
of influence towards feeling one way or another?
And what exactly are feelings anyways??
…Why do we, and who are we to even have such capacity to feel?!

Interface with me. I double tripple quantum dare you ~

Let’s start with you and who you are
… VS who you think you are.

Then we’ll trip the Universe together.
Discovering the foundation of the Earth.
Pi and God.

Ahhhhh!
The red blood of Jesus in my veins,
my drug of choice will get you too…

…If you dare trip like I do!

Business Partner or Wife? ….Both Please!

My ex once exclaimed, “You don’t want a wife, you want a business partner!”
Obviously, I want and need a woman who can be one in the same! duh.

Strong women will be apart of his struggle, survive it, succeed together & build an empire

Real Relationships Build Together

Thankful for the women friends of mine who get this…
And the ones I see working hard alongside their man.
For they bring encourgement to my heart about my future helpmate.

Yesterday I Saw a Lion Kiss a Dear

…don’t you dare let our best memories bring you sorrow
Yesterday I saw a lion kiss a deer
Turn the page, maybe we’ll find a brand new ending
Where we’re dancing in our tears…

Hello Dear Readers, I’m Finally Breaking The Silence On My Blog.

For such an occassion, nothing could be more absolutely fitting than to present one of the most beautiful songs and live recordings ever.

Gregg Alexander – Lost Stars (lyrics below)

The song ‘Lost Stars’ along with Gregg Alexander’s life, music, and career choices are so very close to my heart because of my own life experiences and due to my daily considerations about the state of things in our world, chiefly concerning the multitude of ‘lost stars’ which we are all either part of, or by the grace of God redeemed from. The concept of us all being stars/stardust, both in the spiritual sense as well as scientific, for indeed both are truly one in the same, is one I’ve passionately studied out and have written essays about; essays which I eagerly look forward to releasing as blog posts here in the near future.

This song is also so very close in poetic style and feeling (as are other songs by Gregg) to my own writings/songs that this song actually feels as if I wrote it.

Furthermore, due to circumstances leading to my fiance’ leaving me, I relate well to the lyrics expressed in the song about wanting to be seen for more than “just a boy caught up in dreams and fantasies” while “reaching out for someone I can’t see” as well as other such lines in the song as, “I’ll be damned, Cupid’s demanding back his arrow”, …Definately, it’s the context of the whole song in which those lines lie coupled with my life struggles which give them heavier meaning far beyond the mere obvious sentiments of unrequited love. As a visionary and entreprenuer, my experience has been that finding a partner who will believe in me and my work is nothing short of a miracle! Well, I’ll save the details for my autobiography, but suffice it to say that I thought she was that miracle who could understand me and believe in me enough to brave the dark until we could enjoy the light at the end of the tunnel together.
But, no, she choose to ignore that ‘we are all lost stars searching for meaning’ while not believing me when I told her, “yesterday I saw a lion kiss a deer”.

And I thought I saw you out there crying
And I thought I heard you call my name
And I thought I heard you out there crying
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?
Are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?

My discovering this song while dealing with her leaving me is serendipitious enough to be sure, but even more so is the timing of the song’s release which also coincides with my relaunching of this site, since it also coincides with my success as an entreprenuer – ohh the wheels within the wheels…

After a 15-year hiatus away from publishing weekly/daily journal entries also known as ‘web logs’ or ‘weblogs’ (before the Pyra folks who started www.blogger.com coined the term ‘blogs‘; or at least commercialized and capitalized on it), I am finally breaking prosenium to lay bare bare my life, heart, and soul to the world again here on www.brentchristian.com in daily, or at least weekly updated journalistic form. Brace yourselves ~

After a 15-year long hiatus from the lime-light, Gregg emerged to bring attention to a John Carney film which he worked to write ‘Lost Stars’ specifically for. The film, originally titled Can a Song Save Your Life? and re-titled Begin Again for it’s theatrical release, tells a love story between working musicians and was written around the featured song ‘Lost Stars’ with both main characters Kiera Knightly and Adam Levine preforming versions of it…

Here is the 1st interview Gregg has given in 15 years:

Kiera Knightly performs her beautiful rendition of ‘Lost Stars’

Lost Stars (lyrics)

Please don’t see
Just a boy caught up in dreams and fantasies
Please see me
Reaching out for someone I can’t see

Take my hand, let’s see where we wake up tomorrow
Best laid plans sometimes are just a one night stand
I’ll be damned, Cupid’s demanding back his arrow
So let’s get drunk on our tears

And God, tell us the reason youth is wasted on the young
It’s hunting season and the lambs are on the run
Searching for meaning
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?

Who are we?
Just a speck of dust within the galaxy?
Woe is me
If we’re not careful turns into reality

But don’t you dare let our best memories bring you sorrow
Yesterday I saw a lion kiss a deer
Turn the page, maybe we’ll find a brand new ending
Where we’re dancing in our tears

And God, tell us the reason youth is wasted on the young
It’s hunting season and the lambs are on the run
We’re searching for meaning
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?
and I thought I saw you out there crying
and I thought I heard you call my name
and I thought I heard you out there crying
But just the same

And God, give us the reason youth is wasted on the young
It’s hunting season and this lamb is on the run
searching for meaning
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?

And I thought I saw you out there crying
And I thought I heard you call my name
And I thought I heard you out there crying
But are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?
Are we all lost stars trying to light up the dark?

It’s Raining, Again

Sponge – Rainin’ (Live)

Here it is again, that mystical rain! Coming right into my house now!!!

…happened just like this 3 years ago.

Then after being well watered, I grew.
I was clean, refreshed, and made holy for the journey ahead.

Took to the road in faith and was met with mercy and grace,
for signs, wonders, and miracles.

This time will be 100 fold increase.
It’s time for the ‘latter rain’… Tsunami Rain.

Last one, washing all things pure for the the End of This Age and the Beginning of a New One.

Hiatus from Hiatus

…One Year Later

Yikes! How the time flew since my last post – Ridiculous.

It’s even more ridiculous how the time has passed since the internet grew from a sparce network of Bulletin Board Systems to the Wide World Web and now to the ‘Internet of Things’ (whatever the tech that means).

Meanwhile, I’ve been traveling all around this growing mountian of technology we call the Internet… spending weary years in awe and addiction to the vast wealth of information it makes readily available to feed upon. Not wanting to miss a thing, I’ve wandered up ever so slowly in my climb to experience every detail along the way – a wildflower picker – stopping to enjoy every detail and even exploring the lunatic fridge of our www during my slow accent to my destiny as a content producer.

Soon, this traveler of information and human expression will take his turn in sharing myself with you again and finally make good on my promises to keep this site updated regularly.

The thing is, I actually have a ton of stuff to publish!

Seriously, authentic blog post goodness is heading your way once I get my head out of the cloud server and take the time to manage regular quality updates.

I’m constantly writing stuff actually, but unfortunately I usually get interrupted in the heat of inspiration and have to save it to a draft and forget about it. …But those drafts are not to be forgotten. They will see the light of day! …or rather the backside of the blogosphere. And you my dear readers, will hear tales from the forgotten days of web logging – When Ben Brown became an Internet Rockstar and zines were still the creative and passionate outlet of ‘geeks’, when truly connecting with someone online was not taken for granted, a time when proffiteering gluttons hadn’t yet fully polluted the waters of our beloved Internet. And here on my site you will once again get glimpses into my heart and soul, as I post about my life – my friends, my family, my journeys, my joys and sorrows, and life projects – all poured out on this blog…

Stay tuned. RSS anyone?

– brent

PS.
I am assembling a special network of blogs – a type of webring – which aims to be a throwback to the internet’s days of yore while utilizing all that’s fresh in modern web development to present a networked experience of nostalgia, kindred spirits, and future embrace. If this sort of thing interest you, then join me on my personal social network –> http://www.brentchristian.com/friends/
